Exercise
Exercise: What does that mean?
My dictionary has several definitions. Some of my favorites are “the act of bringing into play or realizing in action”, “to make effective in action”, “bodily exertion for the sake of developing and maintaining physical fitness”. The common words for me are “action”. Sometimes that word alone can scare me. I am not always quick to do take action even when it is in my best interest. Action to me means CHANGE and that is where I sometimes hit a wall. So how do I make that change that I need? Well, it is usually by taking small steps in the right direction. I am taking action and have made a change to drink more water….I love coffee ALL DAY…So I now make a commitment to myself to drink 3 - 20 oz bottles of water per day with the promise to increase this weekly. Now for Sherman he has to watch his fluid intake because of the CHF, so he works hard to balance this out.
Some other changes I am making; I take the stairs instead of the elevator. I don’t always take the shortest path when walking. I hold my abdominal muscles in and count to 15. I sometimes do this while sitting at my computer at work and at home. This also works while waiting at a stop light.
I will write more soon and hope you will visit often.
Warm regards,
Heidi
