I used to go for long periods and not even think about stopping to look at my progress, now I check my progress more often. On a flight to California from New York, how many adjustments are made for wind, magnetic compass influence, or other factors that have an effect on the flight?
Ask any pilot, the answer is Many. So when I was moving full speed ahead and not taking time to look at my progress, how many adjustments did I miss? The answer is Many.
Today I take time to look at my progress alot! Weight I watch daily- that way I can tell if I am retaining fluid. I check my heart rate several times a day. My wife got me a watch that also checks heart rate. I never knew they made such an instrument.
I am learning to watch myself a bit closer—that way I know my progress and feel better about my progress a lot quicker—that little bit of progress drives me to go even further with the healthy actions and leave the unhealthy stuff further behind.
