Medication List
I recently made a list of my medications, insurance information, and the names and phone numbers of my doctors. This list is tucked away neatly in my document section on the computer. That way, if there are changes it is easy to correct the list.
After compiling my list I printed three copies. I placed them in empty medicine bottles and then in easily accessible places. One is in the glove compartment of my car. One is in the freezer of our kitchen refrigerate. and the other is in my wallet. If I used one I would place a copy in my workout bag. I do not plan on any accident or incident that would require this information, but, then again I have never planned on any accident I have ever had.
This information being available would make it easier for any medical person to treat me in case of a sudden need to do so. That is a comforting thought to my wife, my kids, and I feel sure to the person doing the treatment. The medical personnel at the local ambulance district, fire department and police department are trained to look in the above mentioned places in case of an emergency.
I would love to take credit for this life saving idea, but, the hospital where my wife works, our local physicians, and first responders are on a drive to be more efficient and effective in times of emergency.
If this program is not in place in your area, perhaps you could get help from the local first responders, sheriff office, fire department or hospital. After all HealthyHeartFolks are helpful people.
