Exercise Equipment I Refuse to Use
Have you ever been to the gym, wellness center, or local YMCA and watched someone work on a piece of equipment and know it is not for you? I have and these examples are a few of the things good for me I don’t do or use! Why-because I am not comfortable with the change, I am afraid of the pain, and I kind of like the way my wife looks when she is mad-she’s cute in a certain stages of anger! She is truly a motivation to do better with my efforts where health is concerned..not always through her anger.
I won’t use the stair stepper-climber machine, the ellipticals, ab loungers, thigh master, inversion equipment, or jump ropes. These are the machines that give great results, the effort to use them looks tough, and I have not been willing to put forth the effort. This is a change I need to make. A really good friend of mine says my refusal to use these machines that bring desired results are simply a way for me to get attention. I am not so sure I want to be recognized for what I don’t do—unless I don’t do—- and not doing is a good thing. Perhaps I am trying to make my wife mad—she is very cute in some stages of anger—and I do like to live on the edge. I believe the real reason for the refusal to do the right thing is based on my fear of the pain, the fear of the unknown result and my sloth (laziness). These are character flaws that have caused me great pain in the past so it is now time to put them aside and do the right thing. Perhaps I will find a way to become healthier in spite of myself.
As I try the machines I have refused to use in the past I will share my experience with each one, and give you the opportunity to see how well they work for me. I hope to also give you the opportunity to use these machines by linking to providers of the machines and places to use them.
Stay tuned for the results and we hope you will be motivated to become healthy heart folks too.
