Exercise—Benefits of Better Fit
“Besides lifting your mood, regular exercise offers other health benefits, such as lowering blood pressure, protecting against heart disease and cancer, and boosting self-esteem. How often or intensely you need to exercise to alleviate depression is not clear, but for general health, experts advise getting half an hour to an hour of moderate exercise, such as brisk walking, on all or most days of the week.”
I put that statement in quotation marks because it comes from an article sent to me by a friend, I am not sure where it came from, but he simply does not think like that!!! His health got bad like mine and now we are trying to get ourselves out of another mess. We were always known for our messes, later in life we became known for trying to clean them up, the messes I mean.
Not only have I found that exercise has the benefits mentioned above, in addition, by exercising with a friend—I get to enjoy another person. Being alone is not fun anywhere, and I think even less fun at the gym, or wellness center.
If you are not started yet, grab a person you want to spend more time with and walk a lap or two around the track, block, or mall. That way two people can have a Healthy Heart Day.
