    My name is Brandon, I am currently 21 years old, about to turn 22, and I am going on a diet.

     My statistics are not the best in the world; I am 6 foot 2 inches tall, and weigh approximately 327 lbs. Because of the weight I have back pain, sciatic nerve pain, chest pain, chronic bronchitis, minor asthma, acid reflux, and to top it all off I am also a smoker.

    After talking with a doctor, I have been told to make some changes now or end up like Sherman. Congestive Heart Failure, borderline diabetic, arthritic, and old (if I am lucky I will get to be old). Now mind you, I am not some “blob” that sits around the house and just eats all day and blames his problems on society. I have a job and I ride my bike as often as possible, granted I could be more active and not eat as much fatty foods as I like to, dadgum you taco bell, so…. I am taking some action and will commit to losing weight and bettering my life. I’ll let yall know how it goes.

    My name is Sherman, I am currently too old to count on hands and feet together, short for my height and I weigh 2…much.

    My wife says that she would be very happy if I would put a bit more effort into the recovery thing.

    Brandon is a young man I met and thought “if I had started my exercise and HealthyHeartFolks  lifestyle at his age”…you know the drill. We make our mistakes and want desperately to influence others to “not do as I did but do as I say”.

    So now I have another reason to succeed, to show another person that it can be done when you try, and try, and try, and try… When we set our goals, and move toward them in an organized manor, and continue to move forward even when we are slowed by the obstacles that are placed in our path— we can reach any worthwhile objective that is positive.
