Television is the communication media of the age. I remember no TV—I remember no hope for most with Heart Disease. Today we take each of these for granted…like they were always here…and we will alwas have them. What about ….
Our days without refrigeration? I do not remember those days, but I heard about the ice man, and how he brought ice around by horse drawn wagon.
I can remember Granny standing and working all day in the kitchen to keep food ready for the meals we all had together. Where did all that go….and where did all of the improvement come from?
I am bringing all of this up to help us remember that things were not always as they are. This tells me that change inevitable, and we are the directors of change. As we begin to set our direction for the next year…let us look at the past and learn, live today for a better tomorrow, and plan tomorrow to be as improved as it is today.
I have not done so well with my goals for health, my life is good but if I do not work at the health issues… there will not be a need for the rest. Heart Disese is not the end — but, can be the begining.
