    Walnuts-These welcomed addition to the oatmeal cookie are valuable to us in ways that made me learn. Because of my new knowledge—I will not complain as often when pesty peices of walnut are lodged between my teeth.

    Endothelin is the name of  amino acids that play a key role in the constriction of blood vessels. They are named in several vascular diseases, and have been studied in conjunction with diseases of the heart, general circulation and the brain. The balance of receptors and endothelins is very much influential in high blood ssure.

    I found lots of information on the net; however, for real information useful to us in our own personal situations…. we need to check with our health professionals. They may guide us to the specific information we need.  

    Walnuts have a newly found valuable assets…they are endothelin “busters”, and that is not all.

    Walnuts contain alpha-lilenic acid, or  also known as ALA. This is an omega-3 fatty acid similar to the omeg-3’s found in herring  and salmon.

    Walnuts,healthy addition to many baked treats may not be so bad after all
