Oats to reduce cholesterol…yes it worked for me, however I got real tired of oatmeal in the morning. I found other uses for oats.
Steel cut oats are best for breakfast and retain the most nutritious components, rolled oats are more versatile and also have value. Baking is the most familiar use for rolled oats, but, next time you make soup, add some rolled oats as a substitute for the meat. Do you make your own bread? Oats in bread? Yes… a handful of rolled oats to the bread dough makes for a great texture and crunch. Probably some of us have other uses for oats… like oatmeal soap and body wash, or filler for meat loaf…the list goes on….this gets funner every time I learn.
